Meet our CEO Raymond D. Figueroa
Raymond Figueroa is a highly accomplished senior healthcare executive with in-depth experience in all facets of healthcare administration. He brings the credentials of a clinical provider, Chief Executive Officer, and entrepreneur to a field that is facing unprecedented challenges. With more than 20 years working as a healthcare CEO, he has repeatedly built healthcare organizations that provide high-quality patient care while delivering high rates of return to physicians, private equity firms, and investors.
In 2001, Mr. Figueroa founded and launched American Access Care to provide viable, cost-effective alternatives to costly inpatient surgical procedures. The company operated 45 freestanding interventional radiology centers in 12 states. Providing these services in an outpatient setting has not only saved more than $1B in Medicare funds but has also enhanced the quality of care of ESRD patients.
Mr. Figueroa earned his bachelor’s degree in advanced science and technology from Thomas Edison State College. In addition, he gained critical clinical skills from the Clinical Nuclear Medicine Technologist program at the Naval School of Health Science.
Meet Israel Schur, M.D.
Dr. Israel Schur is one of the most accomplished interventional radiologists in the nation. He comes to American Endovascular after serving as Medical Director of Endovascular Surgery and Interventional Radiology at American Access Care Physicians in New York City for over 15 years. A true innovator, Dr. Schur holds nine U.S. patents for Interventional Radiology and Endovascular Surgery devices. Several of Dr. Schur’s original and pioneering publications in the field of Vascular and Interventional Radiology have been cited by The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). A graduate of Chicago Medical School, he completed a residency in Radiology at St. Luke’s Hospital/Columbia University and served a fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago. When not helping patients at American Endovascular, he is an invited guest at prestigious medical conferences throughout the world where you will find him speaking about advancements in Endovascular Surgery.
Meet our COO Deborah Helmer
With more than 25 years of management experience in healthcare, Deborah Helmer has a comprehensive knowledge of virtually all facets of the industry, from billing and operations to Electronic Medical Records, Project Management, and more. Prior to American Endovascular, Deborah served as the operational leader for American Access Care where she had sole oversight of billing, collections, and operations for 30 Interventional/Vascular centers operating at 60,000 annualized visits with $125million in collections. Her unparalleled grasp of granular healthcare policy and procedures allows her to develop streamlined workflows to comply with all requirements, including Joint Commission accreditation and Medicare guidelines.
Meet our VP of Sales and Marketing Michelle Gregg
Few healthcare professionals understand sales and marketing — and how to fuse them to build a stronger brand — quite like Michelle Gregg. As Vice President of Sales and Marketing at American Endovascular, Michelle oversees all sales and marketing efforts, field sales launch and development, and branding, as well as budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and more. Her expertise includes managing multi-state sales teams, leading mergers and acquisition efforts, and building healthcare brands in digital and print spaces.
Across her career, Michelle has successfully launched startup field-sales teams and grown them to a national footprint. Prior to American Endovascular, Michelle served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for American Chronic Care (ACC) where she led the entire sales and marketing divisions, including contracting, strategic partnerships, sales operations, marketing development, large hospital contract negotiations, and field sales development. Before ACC, Michelle served as the Senior Regional Sales Manager for numerous healthcare companies, leading geographically dispersed field-sales teams to exceed their goals and quotas.
